‘Can I become rich in Africa?’ You wonder. Part 1.

By Yewe Yewe on November 7, 2021January 4, 2022

Definitely, Yes.

In his book, ‘the strangest secret’ (1957) Earl Nightingale identifies the source of wealth to be located somewhere between a person’s ears, in their brain, in other words their mind. I may as well end this article right here, your question is solved.

You can be rich in Africa. Or any where for that matter. He even went far to call it the strangest secret in the world. That ‘men can become wealthy simply by rearranging their thoughts in away that pays attention to wealth generating possibilities and thus decide to act on them‘.

Why Earl Nightingale? Why present him as a credible teacher in this class? Well, to answer that concern I’ll have to take you back in history, in the 18-19th century. The steam engine has been invented and the industrial revolution is gaining momentum whilst cities are budding like flowers around the world. But more importantly something really phenomenon is taking place, many people are giving up the usual mechanical way of living, ‘waiting for and taking only what you are given’. They are becoming more proactive and willing to venture into new unexplored territories. Ordinary people are coming up with extraordinary ways to do things, many others are starting businesses as others more choose to turn their talents into profit generating endeavors.

“The opposite of courage in our society is not cowardice, it is conformity. There you have the cause of many failures.”

“People are always blaming their circumstance for what they are. I don’t believe in circumstances. Get up and find the circumstances you want, if you cant find them, make them.”

“A person’s life is what their thoughts make of it.“

As we turn this history page back into the 21st century, keep in mind that it is the lessons and effort of personal–development teachers such as Earl Nightingale, Napoleon Hill, etc., that many people are finally realizing the fact that a human mind is a gold mine and that those who become rich roll up their sleeves of attitude, grab a shovel of goals and get to digging. Because inside themselves lies great ideas, great solutions and efficiency– the very things that drive progress in the real world.

Therefore, attaining personal development is probably the only outstanding requirement for success while location if I may look at it from the lens of economics is just a luxurious good. In other words, location is not a necessity. Note this, you can become rich, famous, happy, experienced wheresoever you can be in this world. Obviously I don’t know about Mars.

Definition; Earl Nightingale is the American Author of ‘The Strangest Secret’, 1956 while Napoleon Hill is the author of ‘Think and Grow Rich’ 1937. Both books fall under the category of personal development and self help. They have sold millions of copies around the world and have inspire millions of people around the world to become millionaires.
