Schedule:

40 hours per week

Monday to Friday, 9AM to 6PM Sacramento CA (1:00 AM – 10:00 AM Manila time)

Includes 1 hour unpaid break

Job Description

We’re seeking a seasoned Senior Manager of Accounting to join our client’s forward-thinking team in the cannabis industry. This role offers a unique blend of financial leadership and strategic insight in one of the most exciting and rapidly evolving sectors. You’ll oversee complex financial operations, drive strategic decision-making, and play a crucial role in shaping the company’s financial future. Responsibilities

Spearhead all accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance within the complex regulatory framework of the cannabis industry

Conduct in-depth financial analysis and provide strategic insights to guide critical business decisions

Lead cross-departmental collaborations to optimize financial processes and systems, driving efficiency and growth

Craft and present comprehensive financial reports to senior management, translating complex data into actionable strategies

Mentor and develop a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement

Stay ahead of industry trends and regulatory changes, ensuring the company remains compliant and competitive

Drive the implementation of cutting-edge financial technologies to streamline operations and enhance reporting capabilities

 

Requirements

CPA certification with a proven track record of excellence in accounting

Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a senior management role

Deep understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards, particularly as they apply to the cannabis industry

Exceptional analytical skills with a talent for problem-solving in complex financial scenarios

Strong leadership abilities with a track record of successfully managing and mentoring accounting teams

Excellent communication skills, adept at translating financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders

Proficiency in advanced accounting software and financial management tools

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment, managing multiple priorities effectively
