About The Role

As the Hardware Solutions Technical Expert, you’ll be the driving force behind the successful deployment, installation quality, and ongoing technical excellence of our national hardware and software solutions. You’ll bring deep hands-on experience with laundry equipment, payment systems, and laundromat technology to support and elevate our installation ecosystem. This role blends technical leadership, field expertise, and program development—you’ll oversee and document key installations, build a national installer certification program, and work closely with Engineering, Product, and Operations to ensure our solutions are consistently installed to the highest standards.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, enjoys being hands-on with hardware and software, and excels at building strong relationships with partners and internal teams. You’ll play a central role in improving installation quality, shaping our technical workflows, and supporting Cents as we continue to lead the industry in integrated laundry technology.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, conduct, and oversee mechanical installations of laundry hardware, payment systems, and related software, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and consistency across all deployments.

Manage high-priority or complex installations on-site, including travel when needed, to supervise, install payment device hardware, troubleshoot, and document end-to-end workflows.

Build, launch, and manage a national Installer Certification Program to standardize installation quality and train both internal teams and external partners.

Create clear, detailed technical documentation—including installation guides, workflow diagrams, troubleshooting steps, and best-practice procedures—to support scalable and repeatable field operations.

Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Operations, distributors, and laundromat owners/operators to resolve issues, refine workflows, and drive continuous improvement of hardware and software systems.

Act as a technical point of escalation for installation challenges, working cross-functionally to identify root causes and recommend long-term solutions.

Monitor installation performance, gather partner feedback, and identify patterns or opportunities to improve hardware reliability, process efficiency, and customer outcomes.

Build and maintain strong relationships with equipment distributors, operators, and internal teams to ensure alignment, trust, and a seamless installation experience.

Qualifications

Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with 5+ years of hands-on experience installing laundry equipment, payment systems, and related hardware/software.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and able to adapt quickly to new technologies and processes.

Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners, including equipment distributors and laundromat operators.

Excellent documentation skills with experience creating technical workflows, installation guides, or process playbooks.

Skilled at managing multiple projects simultaneously, from site oversight to program development.

Experience working with technical tools, field service systems, and workflow documentation platforms.

Bonus points for experience in laundromat operations, IoT-connected devices, or hardware/software integration environments.
