Delta Institute is Crimson Education’s work experience arm where we support our students to supercharge their careers in high school through immersive work experience programs (Delta Careers), practical, project-based training in AI and Code (Deltaschool) as well as support to develop and launch their own business or capstone project (Delta Launch powered by Icehouse Ventures). At Delta Institute, we’re all about building the “delta” factor in our students’ application portfolios. With us, students gain access to a dynamic learning environment, leveraging advanced technologies and industry partnerships to bridge the gap between academia and the professional world. Over 750 students have benefited from our programs thus far, all of them going on to study at well-renowned institutions and some at top ones such as Stanford, Princeton, Columbia, NYU, Imperial, Cambridge, and more. To support our students, we have built / purpose of role
This is a full-time position, that can be worked fully remotely or in one of our many offices around the globe. The role involves taking full ownership of Delta Institute (mainly Delta Careers) sales efforts focusing outside of Crimson Education markets. As the unit grows, this role has the potential to grow to a managerial role responsible for sales growth, and managing other sales consultant hires.
What are the main responsibilities for this role?
Sales
Achieving agreed upon sales targets and outcomes
Identifying and interacting with new leads/customers
Establishing rapport with new leads via phone and email to initiate sales consultations
Conducting sales consultations and academic assessments in a professional manner and that aligns with the Crimson/Delta Institute brand and culture.
Presenting, promoting and pitching Delta Institute services, mainly Delta Careers, as per the company sales process to prospective customers
Establishing, developing and maintaining positive and professional customer interactions and relationships
Consistent and timely on boarding of new clients to the Student Success Manager team as per Crimson’s new client onboarding process
Contacting existing clients to inform and upsell them on new developments within Crimson’s product offering.
Expediting the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
Continuously improving sales techniques and enhancing industry knowledge
Business Development & Lead Generation (when required)
Working with Delta Institute’s Marketing team, as well as Local Area and Digital Marketing Teams to develop/enhance lead generation methods by identifying opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will leads to an increase in leads and sales
Engaging in outreach activities such as presenting at school talks, careers expos and Crimson/Delta Institute seminars
Sourcing potential organizations and markets for lead generation/partnerships
Attending industry events where relevant and provide feedback and information on market trends
Sales Administration
Ensuring that data is diligently and accurately entered/managed within Crimson’s Client Relations Management (CRM) system
Submitting fortnightly sales reports in an accurate and concise manner for management
Helping in training of new sales personnel wherever relevant
Maintaining effective communication with the Accounts team to ensure timely payment of accounts
Educating the global sales and marketing team on local market nuances in the education space
Providing feedback and suggestions on how to improve sales processes
Producing reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
What skills and experience are required?
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (required), Master’s degree (preferred) ideally in a business-related area
At least 2-3 years of successful previous sales experience
Very strong communication and interpersonal skills
Flexible working patterns
Proactive and characterised by grit
Passion for secondary education and career advisory
Some experience in an educational company (preferred)
