Senior Graphics Engineer

ABOUT DURANTA & WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Duranta was founded with the mission of helping contractors, starting with landscapers, create a more beautiful world. Every year, over 1.5 million acres of land in the US is being converted into urban dwelling areas, and we are building the platform that contractors will use to design beautiful, ecological spaces, and run efficient businesses. 

We are looking for a computer graphics engineer to join our team. You’ll be responsible for designing a CAD interface that is easy, delightful, automated, and allows us to create a digital twin of the real world. You would work closely with the broader engineering team to develop and deliver features that integrate seamlessly in the rest of our application.

We are headquartered in Seattle and are building a hub in NYC. We allow for remote work, provided that you are able to spend a week, once a quarter, onsite in Seattle.
Responsibilities and focus areas
Founding engineer of Duranta’s CAD efforts
Designing real world visualizations in CAD
Integrating third party data sets for accurate site measurements
You will thrive if you have
Early stage startup experience
A knack for working in small, driven teams, with high autonomy
The desire to talk to & learn from users and collaboratively build a product together with the founders, the designer etc.
At least 8 years of experience in building CAD applications, 3D games, or any other computer graphics related applications
Quantitative, math-forward approach to solving problems and familiarity with computational geometry
And for extra credit
Experience building web applications adapted for mobile devices in Javascript / Typescript
Experience with modern JS frameworks such as React JS, React Native, SolidJS etc.
Experience with agile development practices
Experience with AI
$175,000 – $200,000 a year
+ equity
