Software Engineer
are Quizgecko (quizgecko.com), an AI-driven quiz and flashcard platform, and we’re seeking an experienced React Native Developer to help build and maintain our mobile app.
This is a contract-based, fully remote role that allows you to work from anywhere. Please apply only if you have remote work experience and are open to contract or freelance arrangements.
You will serve as the sole developer for a widely used iOS and Android app with thousands of daily paying users. Because of this, you must have at least three years of React Native experience and be ready to contribute immediately.
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain features for our React Native mobile app
• Build and release new app versions weekly
• Work closely with our backend developer to integrate RESTful APIs and other services
• Diagnose and improve app performance to ensure a smooth user experience
• Collaborate with our QA tester to maintain product quality
• Adhere to best practices in code quality, Git version control, and documentation
• Provide clear and consistent updates to the team
Requirements
• Demonstrated React Native experience (please share examples of relevant projects)
• Strong JavaScript skills (ES6+)
• Experience using Git
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities
• Availability to start soon and meet deadlines
Nice to Have
• Experience with Laravel, PHP, or general web development
• Native iOS or Android development experience (Swift, Kotlin, or Java)
