CloudOps Information Security Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated CloudOps Information Security Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in cloud computing and a passion for developing innovative solutions that enhance our cloud security infrastructure. As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based security implementations that support our organization’s needs. This is a remote role, reporting directly to CloudOps Information Security EngineerManager

Responsibilities
Design and implement cloud security architecture solutions that meet business requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud security solutions with existing systems and applications.
Conduct vulnerability assessments to identify potential security risks and remediation within the cloud environment.
Provide technical support for security issues related to cloud services, ensuring minimal downtime and prompt resolution of incidents.
Cloud Platforms: Proficiency with cloud platform security like Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
Triage security issues and remediate as needed.
Maintain documentation of cloud architecture, configurations, and processes for future reference and compliance purposes.
Experience with configuring SAML, OAuth2.0, OpenID Connect, FIDO2, and LDAP authentication between platforms and applications.
Networking: Proficiency in networking concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, SSL)
Assist in managing the various security related systems for Cloud access control (Okta and its integration into our systems), SSL (managing CA accounts and product domains and SSL certificates), and DNS systems.
Stay updated on the latest industry trends in cloud security technology and recommend improvements or new tools as necessary.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, information technology, cyber security or related field and 4 years of experience or equivalent combination of education, experience, training, and certifications.
Preferred certifications include: CISSP (or Associate), CAP, CASP+ CE, or GSLC.
Preferred AWS, GCP, Azure Certifications
Proven experience in cloud computing with a strong understanding of AWS, GCP, and Azure.
Proficiency in operating systems (Linux/UNIX) and familiarity with network protocols.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to anticipate potential issues before they arise.
Knowledge of IT best practices related to security, performance optimization, and disaster recovery.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
