About The Role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a strong TypeScript & React background to scale our application team. This team’s mission is to build the Figment application, which allows users to stake and unstake their tokens on a variety of networks.
In this role, you’ll be designing and implementing new UIs and features to support institutional staking. If you have a knack for crafting complex UIs and building fluid user experiences, we’d love to chat!
This is a full-time remote opportunity in Canada. Our team is dynamic and collaborative, with lots of opportunities to learn and drive impactful business outcomes. If you’re comfortable working in an unstructured environment, enjoy navigating ambiguity with minimal direction, have a demonstrated ability to take on a wide range of projects with a strong sense of ownership, and love to explore/build new technologies – this may be the perfect match.
What you will be doing
Take full technical ownership of key product features – from conception, through breakdown and implementation, to deployment.
Produce clean, performant, and well-tested TypeScript code, and clean reusable React components.
Design your own solutions, factoring in maintenance, scalability, and security concerns to your solution approach.
Work closely with Product Managers to distill requirements, communicate technical solutions, and set expectations.
Collaborate with other teams on all aspects of product development.
Write feature specs and review teammate’s PRs.
Minimum Qualifications
4+ years of Frontend product development experience, building features end-to-end.
Proven TypeScript & React expertise, with a track record of successful projects.
Figma (or similar design tools) experience, with proven ability to follow design specs and translate into robust and maintainable UI
Self-motivated and result-oriented, able to work in small teams with significant ownership and autonomy.
Bias for action; and proven ability to balance speed, simplicity, and quality.
Growth oriented; seeks and is receptive to actionable feedback and learning opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in NextJS, Vercel, Tailwind CSS, LaunchDarkly and Storybook
Full-stack development experience, preferably in Ruby on Rails
Experience with building DApps and interacting with smart contracts
Excellent collaborator; able to partner closely with Design and Product to refine requirements and optimize for superior user experience.

Base Salary: The CAD base salary range for this position is CAD $140,000 – $170,000. The US base salary range for this position is USD $140,000 – $170,000. This range reflects base salary only, and does not include additional compensation or benefits. For candidates in other countries, the pay range will be disclosed upon your first interview with Figment (being a globally remote company, the list of salary ranges would simply be too long to note here!). The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum range for a new hire across all Canada or the US. A candidate’s specific pay within the range will be determined by various factors including job-related skills, relevant education, and training.
