Role Overview:
As the Principal Product Manager for Wallet, you will lead the vision, strategy, and hands-on execution of HighLevel’s Wallet and Payments infrastructure — the financial backbone powering all usage-based, SaaS, and reselling transactions across the platform.
You’ll be responsible for how money moves through the HighLevel ecosystem — from wallet recharges and tax handling to reconciliations, markups, and credit management. This role combines deep product thinking with strong financial and technical acumen. You will work closely with Engineering, Finance, Revenue Operations, and Tax teams to ensure our wallet operates with absolute accuracy, compliance, and scalability.
This is a high-impact, execution-driven IC role — ideal for someone who thrives on ownership, dives deep into data and systems, and can connect financial precision with product design. You’ll partner directly with Stripe and internal teams to evolve our multi-currency, globally compliant payments system that underpins billions in platform transactions.
Your work will shape how agencies, sub-accounts, and HighLevel transact — defining the standards of financial integrity, automation, and transparency across the company’s entire payments ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
– Own the vision, strategy, and execution of HighLevel’s Wallet and Payments infrastructure — from system design to day-to-day delivery.
– Lead the architecture, roadmap, and evolution of Wallet systems ensuring scalability, precision, and operational resilience.
– Collaborate directly with Stripe and other payment partners to optimize fund flows, automate reconciliation, and expand payment capabilities.
– Build and refine reconciliation and variance systems, ensuring every transaction, balance, and journal aligns across ledgers and data pipelines.
– Dive deep into data and financial models to analyze discrepancies, monitor deferred revenue movements, and validate accounting integrity.
– Own the wallet credit framework, covering issuance, redemption, promotional credits, refunds, and expirations across all business contexts.
– Define and maintain usage-to-revenue mapping across all HighLevel products — driving accuracy in billing, cost attribution, and profitability tracking.
– Partner with the Tax and Finance teams to ensure end-to-end compliance for both agency and sub-account transactions across regions.
– Drive the Unified Reselling Experience, enabling agencies to configure markups, manage profit margins, and view product-level financial insights.
– Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Revenue Ops, Internal Tools, and Engineering to operationalize reconciliation, reporting, and audit processes.
– Define and instrument core financial KPIs, including recharge success rates, margin trends, and variance resolution performance.
– Operate as a hands-on product leader, comfortable with deep technical and data investigations while driving alignment at the executive level.
– Champion execution excellence, balancing immediate financial integrity needs with long-term scalability and platform reliability.
– Identify and deliver new fintech capabilities — such as alternative payments, regional tax handling, and embedded finance opportunities.
– Act as the domain expert and decision owner for all Wallet, billing, and fintech infrastructure initiatives across the organization.
Requirement
– 8+ years of Product Management experience, including ownership of complex financial or payments infrastructure in SaaS or fintech environments.
– Proven ability to design, ship, and scale systems that handle large volumes of financial transactions and reconciliations.
– Deep understanding of Stripe’s ecosystem — including Connected Accounts, Treasury, Payment Intents, Tax APIs, and reconciliation workflows.
– Strong grasp of global payments, multi-currency management, and FX settlement across regions (US, EU, Canada, India, Australia). Experience implementing or integrating tax compliance systems (e.g., Stripe Tax, Avalara, or internal frameworks) for B2B and reseller transactions.
– Demonstrated ability to work across finance, tax, and engineering teams to ensure accounting accuracy and regulatory alignment.
– High comfort with hands-on execution — including data validation, variance analysis, and mapping product usage to revenue.
– Analytical mindset with experience using SQL, BI tools, or financial data models to diagnose issues and validate hypotheses.
– Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts for cross-functional audiences.
– Track record of driving measurable impact through systemic improvements, automation, and data-driven decisions.
Nice-to-Have

– Strong technical fluency with APIs, data pipelines, and internal tools related to payments and finance.
