For all IMO positions, if you live in the Greater Chicagoland Area, Houston, TX, or Roseville, CA, you’ll be expected to work from an IMO office 2 days per week.
IMO’s Senior Enterprise Cloud Engineer is the driver behind how our systems operate and are integrated across the organization. You will look at the business’ cloud needs and proactively come up with solutions that will empower teams to achieve their goals. This position will work across the operations, security, and application teams and implement Generative AI solutions in respective applications.
Impact You’ll Make:
You will play a key role in framing the expanded use of cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) in the organization and across our product offerings
What You’ll Do:
Functions as a subject matter expert on internal infrastructure and applications
Works closely with security, application/infrastructure, and business teams to ensure alignment with project goals and provide guidance on cloud best practices
Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability
Plan, execute, and manage the cloud migration of applications, workloads, and infrastructure from on-premises or other cloud environments to a target cloud platform
Implement and enforce security policies, best practices, and compliance requirements to protect sensitive data and maintain cloud infrastructure integrity
Automate monitoring and metric collection to prevent incidents before they happen
Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline and simplify repetitive tasks, improving efficiency and reducing human error
Identify cost-efficient use of cloud resources
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud infrastructure, configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and team collaboration
Incorporate creative solutions to technical challenges and embrace out-of-the-box thinking to create new products or enhance existing products
Partner with the business to understand the AI strategy and ensure data security and compliance across all departments
What You’ll Need:
Experience as a Cloud Engineer in cloud-native environments such as AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
Experience developing, deploying, and supporting cloud-based applications
Hands-on experience with the following: Improving automated hosted infrastructure, application deployment, monitoring, and alerting; Creating patterns of re-use around monitoring and alerting with tools; Creating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and applying reusable Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform; Working with operating systems and understanding of network architectures; Supporting and deploying applications to Windows-based servers; Source control tooling, such as Azure DevOps or GIT, in a team environment
Understanding of Internet standards and protocols such as HTTP, DNS, TCP, and UDP
Knowledge of AI technologies and usage across enterprise applications is a bonus
