We’re looking for a talented Visual Designer in Taipei, Taiwan to join our team. This person will be responsible for owning the consistency of product designs; creating and owning product design systems; creating product wireframes and mockups; assisting with marketing design initiatives. This person needs to be self-driven, user-centric, and able iterate designs based on feedback and other metrics.

Key responsibilities

Design homepage and marketing landing pages with modern design patterns

Create custom graphics, icons, illustrations, and image assets aligned with campaign themes

Develop visual hierarchies with typography, color schemes, and spacing to guide user flow toward conversions

Collaborate with growth marketers on A/B variants, iterating based on heatmaps and performance data.

Optimize assets for fast load times via compression/export best practices; ensure ADA compliance (contrast, alt text).

Maintain design system (components, styles) for scalable reuse across quizzes, carousels, and email templates.

Conduct recurring n-person and virtual user tests for feedback

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Able to have meetings from 6:30am-10am Taipei time Tuesday to Saturdays with the US team.

Required skills & qualifications

Proficiency in English (Mandarin not required).

Design software proficiency. Skilled in Figma and Adobe Illustrator.

Experience at an early stage tech startup.

UI/UX design experience for web applications.

Preferred skills

UI/UX design experience for mobile apps.

Wireframing/prototyping for user flows

Heatmap/analytics/session reply review to suggest layout tweaks improving drop-off rates

Experience creating and managing a company wide design system.

Ability to design and test product UI/UX updates on focus groups.

NT$750 – NT$1,000 an hour

Required work hours: 10-20 hours/week
