Description
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in expanding PayFuture’s geographical reach and payment method footprint across North Africa. Your primary responsibility will be to spearhead growth initiatives by building and nurturing strategic partnerships with various stakeholders, including acquirers, regulatory bodies, and local payment processors. These collaborations will be essential in enhancing the payment ecosystem, ensuring that our global merchants have access to seamless and efficient payment solutions tailored to the unique needs of these markets.
You will work closely with internal and external teams to navigate the regulatory landscape, identify opportunities for innovation, and implement payment solutions that cater to the evolving demands of the region. By fostering these relationships, you will contribute significantly to PayFuture’s mission of creating a frictionless payment experience, empowering merchants worldwide to expand their operations and serve customers in these dynamic, fast-growing markets.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to lead key projects that will drive business growth, ensuring that PayFuture remains at the forefront of payment technology and regulatory compliance in North Africa. Your strategic input will be crucial in positioning PayFuture as a trusted and reliable partner in the payments industry.
Requirements
Objectives of this role:
Identifying local key stakeholders – networking and building solid, lasting relationships with Central Banks, Banks and Local Payment Processors to create business partnerships. You will identify key business relationships and build partnerships to understand challenges and opportunities
Preparing market/competition analyses as well as deal memos necessary to support the investment/business decisions. You will identify operational gaps in new offerings and set operational requirements for new projects
Negotiate and execute commercial partnerships and agreements. You will stay abreast with local regulations and engage with regulators in case it is necessary
Work with internal teams on operations/ product/ technology road map and integration of partnerships. You will work closely with merchants and the commercial team, focusing on the development of key products
Analyse performance results and optimise accordingly. You will improve operational capabilities for the different payment methods
Stay on top of local regulatory/licensing requirements and how it impacts our business. Maintain/establish contact with local lawyers, accountants and tax experts to ensure the operation is running smoothly

Hold a bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field with a minimum of 5+ years of international expansion, new market entry or tech marketplace experience with an emphasis on payments. You have prior work experience in North Africa
Are passionate with the drive and the desire to be a part of a growing team that makes a difference for both the company and our clients
Are a strong team player with the ability to anticipate, work independently and demonstrate ownership. You are a productivity geek who constantly thinks of ways to improve on speed, quality and compliance
Are an excellent and structured oral and written communicator. You possess excellent negotiation and leadership skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple manner
Write and speak fluent English. Additional languages are a bonus
