The role

 

We are seeking a proactive Commercial Accountant to join our finance team at Prolific. This varied position offers opportunities to further develop your technical skills through contributing to month end reporting, statutory reporting and management accounts, while also becoming a finance business partner and providing valuable insights and analysis. This role involves collaborating with the finance team and our business partners, providing essential business intelligence, and automating key finance processes to improve efficiency.

 

 

 

What you’ll bring to the role

 

Knowledge of month end processes, including reconciling control accounts and processing journal entries

Self starter who is confident to lead processes and drive process improvements

Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines

Strong financial analysis and data visualization skills

Excellent communication and storytelling with data

Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally

Familiarity with fast pace working environments

Experience in financial planning & modelling with great attention to detail

Ability to translate non-financial information into models that can be used by stakeholders

Experience with spreadsheets and using varied formula to maximise efficiency

1+ years PQE with finance qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA preferred)

 

 

Even better if you have

 

Experience working in a high growth tech startup/scale up

Knowledge of Google products e.g. Google Sheets

Experience building macros or leveraging SQL 

 

 

What you’ll be doing in the role 

 

Feeding into month end processes, including reconciling control accounts and user balance movements, posting journals, assisting with consolidation and commentary

Creating Board reporting packs and performance decks with actionable insights

Business partnering with departments to track performance vs. plan

Analysing our performance, identifying areas for improvement

Automating finance processes to drive efficiency

Driving the adoption of new financial tools and systems

Conducting market analysis to benchmark Prolific’s performance

Ad hoc project work depending on business requirements
