Description
The Underwriting Insurance Case Management is responsible for providing support to the underwriting team by performing a variety of tasks to facilitate new and renewal business, policy issuance and maintenance, metrics tracking, and participating in underwriting projects.
Please be advised that the selected candidate is expected to come into the office 1 day a week at the Garden City, NY office.
Responsibilities
Maintain various departmental Outlook inboxes
Route risk involved matters to departmental staff
Set up underwriting files and applications by obtaining required documents and updating appropriate systems
Participate in updates and testing of insurance administration systems
Issue and send rate endorsements within required timeframes
Complete assignments in an accurate and timely manner and according to pre-established guidelines and workflows as assigned by the department
Assist in maintaining and updating select Underwriting reports and standard operating procedures
Generate reports with various frequencies to support underwriting functions and provide status updates
Interact and work with various internal stakeholders, as needed
Qualifications/Education
0-2 years of insurance industry experience preferred
Associate degree or higher required in a related field
Required Skills/Abilities
Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
Capable of working both independently as well as on a team
Ability to multi-task and perform under tight deadlines
Proficient with Microsoft Office with a concentration in Excel

$45,100 – $63,157 a year
Protective’s targeted salary range for this position is $45,100 to $63157. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, job location, skills, and experience. The range listed is just one component of Protective’s total compensation package for employees.
This position also offers additional incentive opportunities through an annual incentive based on individual and Company performance.
