We are searching for a developer for a contract position, focusing on enhancing our content workflow and internal research capabilities. The ideal candidate will excel in integrating APIs, utilizing best practices for efficient development workflows, and managing data with a nuanced understanding of front-end and back-end technologies.
This is a contract position beginning in April 2024 with approximately 50-100 hours total, with the potential for extension depending on performance and project requirements.
Responsibilities:
Develop and integrate APIs to log information into our Slack channel or other mediums for internal research and inspiration.
Design and implement tooling to optimize content workflow, including automation for grammar checking, fact-checking with AI, and idea logging.
Employ GitHub Actions to enhance build stages for our content workflow, improving efficiency and reliability.
Contribute to creating front-end internal tools to support content workflow, with an openness to using the Astro framework as it aligns with our website’s technology stack.
Facilitate the migration of existing Node-based tools and scripts to enhance usability and front-end accessibility.
Engage with the team to identify areas for workflow, research, and inspiration process enhancements, suggesting and implementing solutions.
Requirements
Proficiency in API development and integration.
Solid understanding of DevOps practices and tools, particularly with GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
Experience with data management and integration in a development context.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively independently and within a team.
Bonus Skills:
Experience with front-end development, especially Astro, Vue, and TypeScript.
Familiarity with deploying applications on platforms like Netlify and using GitHub for version control.
Comfortable working with content management tools such as Notion.
Experience with Twilio
