The “Suite” of Stardog front-end tools serves as the face of our Platform and consists of Stardog Studio, Stardog Explorer, and Stardog Designer. Studio provides an IDE-like experience for developers to execute and debug queries and manage Stardog itself. Explorer provides non-technical users a way to search, browse, and explore their Knowledge Graph. Designer allows architects and other subject matter experts to visually design and build their Knowledge Graph from the ground up. Finally, Voicebox is the most recent addition to Stardog and is an agentic system running on top of our world-class Knowledge Graph Platform. Voicebox is able to turn natural language questions and objectives into multi-step plans, fetching data from multiple locations, both structured and unstructured, providing a complete, hallucination-free answer.
We are looking for talented engineers to come in and be a part of the team building the Stardog Visual Experience.
As an experienced engineer, we’d like to see some real-world background building web-based applications, not just constructing websites.
Our stack is written with Typescript using React, so we’re expecting you to be familiar with those technologies as well as having knowledge and experience with Python. Knowledge of authorization providers and databases such as Django would be great to have. Bonus points if you’re familiar with Redux, Cypress, and Webpack.
Not familiar with knowledge graph or LLMs? No worries. It’s a hot topic these days, but still new to many people. We’re excited to help teach you! Is semantic technology old hat? Even better!
No degree? No problem. Having a piece of paper with some fancy words on it like “Computer Science” is great, but not a requirement. You can be an engineer without an engineering degree. What we’re looking for is a good engineer who will come in, work hard, and be passionate about solving our user’s problems.
We are a remote-first company. You should be comfortable with, and have experience, working remotely. You must have strong communication skills as much of our interactions will be over Slack, PR, and email, where it’s harder to get your point across. Most of the team is in the EST (UTC-5) time zone, so the closer the time zone alignment, the better.
Lastly, you’ll get great benefits, a yearly continuing education stipend, flexible PTO options, and the ability to work whenever and wherever you prefer.
Our culture is based on engineering excellence, mutual respect, collegiality in all things, rigor in design, research, implementation, and testing. We care deeply about work-life balance and productivity in the short and long run. In sum, if you remove the unnecessary, the distracting, and the tedious, what you’re left with is a healthy 40 hour week full of wins.
