Accounting
We are seeking a high energy, detail-oriented and hands-on individual to join the accounting team as a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in driving the integrity and accuracy of our financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and supporting strategic decision-making. This position requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and best practices.
About Talkiatry:
Talkiatry transforms psychiatry with accessible, human, and responsible care. We’re a national mental health practice co-founded by a patient and a triple-board-certified psychiatrist to solve the problems both groups face in accessing and providing the highest quality treatment.
60% of adults in the U. S. with a diagnosable mental illness go untreated every year because care is inaccessible, while 45% of clinicians are out of network with insurers because reimbursement rates are low, and paperwork is unduly burdensome. With innovative technology and a human-centered philosophy, we provide patients with the care they need—and allow psychiatrists to focus on why they got into medicine.
You will:
Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including the preparation and posting of journal entries and accruals and supporting reconciliations.
Develop and implement internal controls to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
Own various accounting processes including cash, prepaids, fixed assets, and accruals
Assist with ERP system maintenance and AP tech stack improvements to become an expert in accounting systems, as well as training others.
