Text is an AI-first customer service platform. We’re hiring a pipeline-driven SEO Manager to own organic growth for the US market across both classic SEO and the new frontier — GEO/AEO for AI Overviews and answer engines.

What you’ll do

Own the US-focused organic strategy across SEO and GEO/AEO: win in Google/Bing SERPs, AI Overviews, and answer engines (e.g., ChatGPT/Perplexity/Copilot) with measurable pipeline goals.

Map demand by intent and persona and build topic clusters, entity maps, and a quarterly roadmap tied to buying stages.

Help us build answer-first pages LLMs and humans cite.

Programmatic SEO at quality without thin or duplicative content.

Secure and sustain AI Overview presence: identify opportunities, adapt page structures, and monitor citations/coverage.

Implement robust structured data (JSON-LD) and maintain content-schema parity.

Guard technical health: crawlability, indexation, internal linking, canonicals, JS rendering, Core Web Vitals, sitemaps, robots, redirects, pagination, index bloat.

Strengthen entity/brand signals for knowledge graphs: consistent naming, sameAs profiles, author pages, digital PR mentions.

Help us run ethical authority building and digital PR: thought-leadership placements, data studies, partner co-marketing, unlinked-mention reclamation.

Help us own review/directory ecosystems (G2, Capterra, Gartner Peer Insights): category fit, profile completeness, and high-quality reviews.

Partner with PMM, Growth, and ABM on SERP coverage (ads + organic + AIO), landing pages, and programs that lower CAC.

Report what matters: dashboards that connect organic to MQL/SQL/pipeline/ARR; share-of-voice and AIO presence tracking.

Scale impact via our product network (https://www.text.com, https://www.livechat.com, https://www.chatbot.com, https://www.helpdesk.com, and more): cross-site internal links, hub-and-spoke structures, and consistent schema/information architecture.

What good looks like (first 90 days)

Ship a US-focused organic strategy and scorecard tied to pipeline targets, including GEO/AEO objectives.

Complete tech and content audits; fix critical blockers (CWV, rendering, index bloat) and stand up high-leverage internal linking.

Launch GEO/AEO monitoring, secure first AI Overview citations/mentions, and document winning patterns.

Roll out structured data coverage across priority templates with validation and change-management.

Publish programmatic template(s) and 5–10 high-intent pages that convert.

Stand up dashboards (GA4, GSC, rank/SOV, AIO presence) and a weekly experiment cadence.

Required experience

No less than 4–8 years of hands-on SEO for B2B SaaS targeting the US market, accountable for pipeline — not just traffic.

Proven wins in non-brand growth, programmatic SEO, and converting high-intent pages (pricing, demo, comparisons).

Demonstrated GEO/AEO experience: understanding AI Overviews/answer engines and how to earn/retain citations.

Strong technical SEO (rendering, CWV, canonicals, log-files), structured data, and internal linking architecture.

Comfortable with analytics (GA4, GSC, Looker Studio), experimentation, and tying work to MQL/SQL/opportunity/ARR.

AI-assisted workflows: prompt craft, quality control, originality checks, and fact-checking standards.

Ability to self-direct and own outcomes in partnership with other teams.

Analytics/Reporting: GA4, Looker Studio/Tableau; UTM hygiene; SQL/BigQuery a plus.

Perf/Tech: PageSpeed Insights, WebPageTest, log-file tools; GTM; schema testers/validators.

CMS/Dev: Statamic/WordPress; HTML/Markdown/Git flows.

Nice to have

Experience with ABM alignment and lifecycle programs.

Integrations/API/docs SEO, marketplaces, and developer content.

Digital PR network and data-journalism chops.

Internationalization strategy and hreflang.

Comfort reading JS and debugging SPA rendering.

Success metrics (owned/influenced)

US pipeline from organic (MQLs, SQLs, opps, ARR).

Share of voice on ICP topics and categories (brand + non-brand).

AI Overview / answer-engine presence and citations that drive qualified traffic.

Conversion rates for demo/trial/pricing and comparison pages.

Coverage & depth across integrations/use cases/alternatives; content freshness and decay control.

Technical health: Core Web Vitals, index hygiene, internal linking, structured data coverage.

Authority growth: high-fit referring domains, review velocity/quality (G2/Capterra), and entity/knowledge-graph strength.
