Job Description
We are looking for a Head of Finance – Financial Reporting & Control to join our Finance team based in the UK. You will be responsible for ensuring that financial information used for statutory purposes, planning and decision making is robust, accurate and efficiently produced. You will also be the finance lead on ad hoc projects including those related to structuring, corporate development and operational process change.
A bit about the team and what you’ll deliver…
Leading a team of 5 including 3 qualified accountants you will own the financial reporting and control processes across the Trustonic group. The role will also be responsible for managing finance suppliers and partners such as outsourced accountants for overseas subsidiaries, finance systems providers, banks and auditors. As the Head of Finance – Financial Reporting & Control, your key responsibilities will include:
Leadership and development of a team of 6 including 3 qualified accountants
Production of monthly financials including leading the monthly close processes across all group entities
Defining and ensuring adherence to accounting policies, ensuring financial information is accurate and reliable
Completion of statutory reporting requirements including leading external audit process
Cash management and cashflow forecasting including AR, AP, managing banking relationships and identifying opportunities to improve working capital
Management of payroll and outsourced payroll partners
Ensuring VAT and Corporation Tax filings are made accurately and efficiently with support from external advisors
Development of accounting processes and systems to enhance capabilities and drive automation and efficiencies
Management of outsourced accounting partners for overseas subsidiaries
Supporting on ad hoc projects including corporate development, restructuring programmes and process improvement
Company secretarial duties (AGMs, company resolutions, etc) for all group companies with the support of the legal team
Ownership of the SAP ByD financial system

What makes you, you…
As the Head of Finance – Financial Reporting & Control you will have knowledge/experience of:
5+ years of post-qualified accountant experience
Experience as a Financial Controller in a senior finance leadership role
Strong technical accounting experience
Managing auditors and producing statutory accounts
UK corporation tax and VAT calculation and filing
Understanding of corporate governance
Experience leading teams to deliver ambitious goals
Driving operational improvements
Managing finance systems
Prior audit experience beneficial
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree or equivalent level of skill, experience and knowledge
ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
