About the Role
A client is seeking a creative Video Editor to join their team for an exciting YouTube Shorts project. The channel celebrates diverse music genres including Afrobeats, Reggaeton, Trap, Hip-Hop, Francophone music, Caribbean Dancehall, and R&B through engaging short-form content. We’re looking for someone who can create captivating visual narratives that match our high-energy musical selections.
Responsibilities:
Create compelling short-form video content optimized for YouTube Shorts platform
Edit raw footage to create dynamic, fast-paced sequences that align with musical beats
Apply appropriate transitions, effects, and visual elements to enhance storytelling
Incorporate sound effects and audio transitions that complement the music
Ensure final edits maintain consistent quality and adhere to brand guidelines
Requirements
Beginner to junior-level experience in video editing
Proficiency in industry-standard video editing software
Strong understanding of current social media trends and short-form content
Experience with music-driven content editing
Knowledge of sound design and audio mixing principles
