POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking three highly skilled and passionate linguists with expertise in transcreation and creative writing to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidates will possess a deep understanding of various audiovisual content genres, including apps, music, sports, and movie/ TV descriptions. The role requires the ability to translate and localize content accurately and engagingly, ensuring cultural relevance and contextual accuracy while maintaining the original message and tone.
Key Responsibilities
Translate and localize content related to apps, music, sports, and broader audiovisual content, ensuring cultural relevance and contextual accuracy.
Adapt content to suit the linguistic and cultural nuances of the target audience while maintaining the original message and tone.
Review and edit translated content for accuracy, consistency, and quality.
Ensure adherence to industry-specific terminology and style guidelines.
Utilize creative writing skills to enhance and adapt content for various media platforms.
Ensure the transcreated content resonates with the target audience, capturing the essence and emotion of the original piece.
Stay updated with the latest trends, news, and developments in apps, music, sports, and broader audiovisual content.
Provide insights and expertise on relevant topics to inform content creation and strategy.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, Journalism, or a related field.
Experience in translation and localization, with a focus on audiovisual content.
Demonstrable expertise in apps, music, sports, and movie/TV descriptions.
Proficiency in English and Japanese, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both.
Strong understanding of terminology related to apps, music, sports, and audiovisual content.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Creative writing skills to adapt and enhance content for various media platforms.
Familiarity with translation software and tools.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
$27 – $32 an hour
