MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Junior Project Managers primary purpose is to assist the Project Manager with assessing the scope of the project, and executing translation projects, from quoting through delivery, ensuring that the client’s requests are met in a timely manner, with a keen attention to quality and cost saving potential.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

– Quotation/Scoping of Translation and Localization projects based on client’s requirements.

– Maintaining a high level of understanding of current patent filing requirements in various jurisdictions as well as the specific needs of each client being served.

– Communicating project information to necessary parties in a clear, concise and professional manner.

– Conveying specific client requests effectively to Project managers.

– Recognizing and escalating any potential issues to the appropriate party in a timely manner

– Creation and maintenance of translation tool repositories with goals toward accuracy and efficiency:

– Machine Translation

– Translation Memory

– Glossaries

– Project preprocessing for TM/MT/Glossary leverage

– Creating linguist usable translation packages

– Receiving and converting completed translation packages into proper output formats

– Project Management:

– Managing project schedules for your assigned projects for each production step: translation, proofreading, quality assurance, and delivery to client.

– Establishing strong relationships with internal and external (vendor) resources globally.

– Working with Project Managers to ensure accurate project tracking.- File handling.

– Ensuring all finance systems data is accurate and kept up-to-date.

– Providing status updates to Project Managers or Sales Representatives, as needed.
