If yes, pay close attention.
What is a millionaire? Do you know? Well, I’ll tell you. A millionaire is any person from any where who has a net worth of valuable assets (including cash) equivalent to one Million but less than one Billion otherwise they would be a Billionaire. Do I still have your attention? Good.
The next question is most important: What is your net worth? You do know what net worth is, right? Fine I’ll tell you: Net worth is the amount of assets (including cash) you own minus all total liabilities you owe (have to pay). You do know what Assets and Liabilities are, right? Fine I’ll tell you:
Assets are all things you own that store monetary value but most importantly those things must generate income and good assets must appreciate (increase in value) with time. On the other hand, Liabilities are all things that take monetary value away from you. In lay man’s words, assets save and increase your money while liabilities spend and decrease your money.
Back to the beginning, do you want to become a millionaire? Hey buddy! Wait a second! May be you are already a millionaire! Do you have assets? How much are they worth? If they’re equal or more than one million then my friend, you are officially a millionaire.
I know what your are thinking: ‘oh cut the crap! How can I be a millionaire if I just have one million Kenyan shilling?’ That’s the problem right there. Africans fool themselves whenever they look everything from the eyes of the western world. If Americans use USD as their currency, that is them not you. If you are not American and you don’t live in America then my friend stop measuring your wealth using other people’s currencies. Use your country’s currency.
See, with that one million Kenyan shillings or one million Nigerian Naira or one million Zimbabwe dollar or one million Zambia Kwacha or one million Burundi francs or one million Rwanda francs or One million Ghanaian Cedi or one million West Africa CFA francs.. my friend you are a millionaire. Go out and party! Hooooraaaaay!!!
I repeat, if you my African friend do own assets (house, land, business, product, service, etc.) or cash equivalent to one million or more whatever the currency, you are officially A MILLIONAIRE. Congratulations. But before you thank me, I want you to do this, effective immediately:
Start thinking, walking, talking, working and living like A MILLIONAIRE. Guess what? As soon as you do embrace your MILLIONAIRE status, that 1, 2,5, 20 or 50 million you have in your currency will multiply. Who knows, may be 10 years down the road you’ll become a BILLIONAIRE.. in shillings or francs or Kwacha.
I remember the first time I became a MILLIONAIRE (in francs) — it is back in 2016. I had saved up my good ‘biggie biggie heavy heavy’ 2 million (francs). It felt so damn good. If in that year God or Allah had called all millionaires on the world stage, I’d have stepped forward with swagger and big smile! As a matter of fact, I’d have stood front low next to the Millionaires from America.
Forget me but remember this: money as everything else comes down to one thing; perspective and attitude. My friend, I’m gonna say it one more time, if you do got one million (shillings, francs, CFA, Cedi, whatever), just know that you are a ‘biggie biggie heavy heavy’ MILLIONAIRE. Love it! Live it! Enjoy it! Thank me later.
