Monday is the New Friday — Only if You Do What You Love.

By Yewe Yewe on June 13, 2022September 1, 2022

“But if you’ve not loved..you’ve not lived at all.” “And if you’ve not done what you love..you’ve not worked at all“-Gicaniro I, author.

A millionaire met a young man in the elevator, pressed his office number, and stood there as they ascended. Just as he walked out, he turned with a smile at the young man, ‘happy weekend!’ he said. The young man was baffled and informed the man, ‘today is Monday, not Friday. The millionaire laughed, turned one last time, and said, ‘only if you do what you love! only if you do what you love!‘.

Life in its vastness can be complicated and hard to comprehend. Even the wisest of scientists, after countless research, studies and experiments still remain amused and confused at the supernatural limitless fabric of life.

For the ordinary person, it is simply daunting work grasping the meaning and nature of existence. This leaves them somewhat stranded at the crossroad of choice and decision. Not knowing what way to take, most decide to follow in the footsteps of others no matter where they may lead.

Love is better a path

Nonetheless, life leaves clues. Scientists call them the laws of nature. If you abide by them, you definitely arrive at a predetermined destination. One of such laws is that ‘love always leads you to the right place’.

Anything you do out of love is most certainly to give you good results. Anything you say out of love will most certainly give you desirable results. This makes making choices and decisions easier and smooth.

People who started out earlier in life doing what they love as a part of their careers, to a great extent turned out successful, and happy too. For such people whose work comes from their true selves and talents, there can’t be the frustration that comes with a Monday. There’s no Monday. The day of work. As a matter of fact, there’s no work. It is simply living by doing what you are good at and enjoying while doing it.

Turn on your compass

If you are poor at life directions just like most of us, simply turn on the love in you and let it guide you through life. Believe me, you will arrive at a desirable good destination. More so, you’ll enjoy every step of the way.

Don’t worry about what to do or to say in a given situation, ask yourself instead, how would I love this response or that? How would I love the results of this reaction or that? This way, you almost certainly get it right. There and then you know what to do and not, most importantly, you know why.

As long as your compass is on, work will no longer feel like slavery but an exciting experience of exploration and collaboration. You begin to enjoy what you do and to be excited around those you do it with.

Note: Don’t ever love it because you do it. Do it because you love it. Neither should you ever love it because you live it, rather, live it because you love it.

Happy weekend!
