About the Role
An emerging independent artist is seeking a talented songwriter to collaborate on their debut single. The project aims to create an empowering R&B/Pop track with themes of confidence, independence, and modern femininity. Drawing inspiration from late 2000s R&B artists, this track will blend seductive undertones with empowering messages, targeting the nightlife and social media audience.
Responsibilities:
Create original lyrics and melody that align with the artist’s vision
Develop engaging hooks and memorable choruses
Write verses that capture themes of confidence and feminine empowerment
Collaborate remotely with the artist to refine songwriting direction
Provide guidance on song structure and arrangement
Requirements
Proven experience in R&B/Pop songwriting
Understanding of current music trends and social media appeal
Knowledge of late 2000s R&B style and sound
Strong ability to write empowering, confident lyrics
Experience writing for female artists
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
