Reporting to the Senior Director, Installation Services, our Senior Operations Manager, Installation Services is responsible for training and coaching branch leadership in new markets and partnering with leaders in underperforming locations to improve performance. The Senior Operations Manager will work with new branch leaders to understand the daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly operational responsibilities of running a branch to include pipeline management, inventory efficiency, expense control, staff management/development, and customer experience. To support existing markets, the Senior Operations Manager will use data to identify struggling branches, conduct needs analyses to unearth areas of improvement, and work with the related stakeholders to correct those things contributing to the low performance.
This role creates/supports short- and long-term strategies for new and existing markets and, as such, must direct, coach, and positively influence people leaders who may not report directly to this position.
Core Role Responsibilities
Train and guide branch leadership on how to develop, execute, and manage the branch operational plan
Assess the effectiveness of existing practices and management routines when assisting underperforming branches or markets; make recommendations for change as necessary
Assist in improving and achieving production adherence to schedule by monitoring daily production downtime and operations efficiency, troubleshooting process and equipment operability issues, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions
Train and guide on P&L expectations and branch margin and profitability targets; recommend, implement, and monitor actions to increase revenue generation and profitability
Train on maintaining branch expenditures within budget guidelines; examine current practices in underperforming branches and identify areas of improvement
Train and guide on reviewing and analyzing branch performance data
Motivate leaders and inspire excellence; embody our Core Values
Ensure positive customer relationships is a priority and focus; assist leaders in identifying, monitoring, and managing customer service standards
Collaborate with the regional leadership to identify, develop, and implement best practices and SOPs for underperforming branches
Basic Qualifications
4+ years of progressive leadership experience; 3+ years in Operations Manager role or equivalent
7+ years of service industry experience
3+ years of experience in managing the financials of a branch/P&L
Driving record that meets company’s insurance standards
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Experience with service and installation programming preferred
Experience with service and installation Management or related field
Ability to accurately measure the dimensions and determine installation processes for windows and doors
Knowledge of applicable building codes and construction techniques
Previous work experience recruiting independent contractors
High proficiency-level in Microsoft Office Suite
Expertise in CRMs; Salesforce or MS Dynamics experience a plus
