5 street boys in Nairobi, Kenya scavenged garbage waste for food. People called them ‘trash boys‘. As the recycling movement picked up, to save the environment, a multimillion-dollar company was set up with the purpose to recycle thousands of garbage tons every day.
Just like all new things, other entrepreneurs could not see themselves moving around collecting trash and selling it to the new company. ‘It’s a dirty business‘ they said.
One day the CEO of the new company drove passed the 5 street boys, scavenging garbage for food. He stopped, walked up to them, and gave them a proposal. ‘collect all garbage you can get and bring it to my company for recycling. I’ll pay you well.’
To cut the long story short, immediately the 5 street boys seized that moment and agreed to the deal. Later on, they formed their own trash collection company and called it ‘The Trash Boys Ltd‘.
As of today, their company is worth 2.5 million dollars.
