Position description

Wenzhou Business College is a top ranked private university approved by the Ministry of Education in China. With nearly 20,000 students and over 1,000 faculty members, the College invites applications for 10-year full-time tenure positions at all ranks in Political Science to begin in Summer or Fall 2024. The successful candidate will be able to teach lower level undergraduate political science courses. English fluency is a must. Applicants should possess a PhD degree in Political Science or related field. ABDs with anticipate completion by July 2024 are encouraged to apply. Candidates graduated from a Top 50 ranking university with master degrees in Political Science or related field may be considered at Lecturer level.

Ideally candidates should have a track record in scholarly publications and the strong potential to advance research further. The academic rank and the competitive compensation and benefits package – including housing, health insurance, schooling, 10% retirement contribution, home leave allowance and more – will be commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience. High research candidates with established publication record may be considered for a special research track, generous research funding, up to RMB 900,000 (about USD $140K) in tax-FREE salary (pending nationality), and additional allowance besides standard benefit package, e.g. extra RMB one million in housing subsidy.
