Responsible for developing and implementing internal communications strategies and plans that engage, align and inspire employees with the company's vision and business strategy, and drive stakeholders’ understanding and engagement on company priorities and key initiatives throughout different channels.

Main responsibilities:

  • Support on follow up calls of leads, both national and international.
  • Support on social media management and website content.
  • Support on contacts with external service provider.
  • Align with other marketing strategies in creation, implementation and evaluation of campaigns across different digital campaigns.
  • Acquire insight in online marketing trends and keep strategies up to date.
  • Create content both in Bangla and English, including written and visual content.
  • Review and proofread communication materials for grammar, style and messaging prior to publishing in electronic and print media.
  • Ensure the core content of the school website is reviewed regularly and kept up to date.
  • Coordinate the writing/editing of spotlights that highlights members of the Academy community (students/parents and faculty).
  • Contribute to social media strategic thinking and planning to expand the Academy online.
  • Coordinate with leaders/supervisors for a student enrichment journalism club.
  • Work with teachers, senior leadership and other staff to develop a culture of communication and reporting on Academy events and activities.
  • Develop press releases and other media materials for high-profile Academy events, in collaboration with the Aga Khan Schools communications department.
  • Plan and organise events from concepts to finish accordance with plan.
  • Select the most suitable location or venue, book, prepare and arrange for the layout.
  • Design a layout and agenda of the event; create event guides to promote the events traditionally or digitally.

The requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communication/media studies/language or related field.

Required Attributes:

  • Strong oral communication, excellent reading, writing and editing skills in English, fluency and literacy in the national language would be an asset.
  • The awareness and ability to direct and produce content across various platforms, including online, print and audio-visual.
  • Interest and ability to work with digital media and content management systems.
  • Sense of audience awareness and the importance of tailoring content for different audience group.
  • High degree of efficiency and responsiveness, especially regarding time-sensitive issues.
  • Professionalism and sensitivity to issues of confidentiality.

Valued additional assets:

  • Master’s degree in communication.
  • Intercultural appreciation and sensitivity. Able to appreciate diverse cultural contexts and perspectives and use them effectively.
  • Knowledge and/or experience of Adobe Creative Cloud programmes, specifically Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop.
